If you would like a graphical diff tool, you can download meld-1.4.0 to your vm in the programs folder. More recent version of Meld don't work because the version of Python on the vms is too old.

Subject: Webdev logs
You now have access to the logs from the 2 JBoss instances in webdev from your developer vm in the folders /mnt/haldevjbs01 and /mnt/haldevjbs02. We are working on standardizing the way that developers can access infrastructure server logs so those path might change in the future. We'll let everybody know if we change it.
Thanks!

Mike, do we have any kind of support with XManager? Developers are having issues where Xmanager locks up if they don't touch the Window for a few hours.

FYI -- I installed the latest version of Xmanager and kept my VM open overnight and it still stopped working, and effectively locked-up on my machine.

You can switch your working copy to the jboss-stabilization branch in JBDS by
right clicking on your project and choose Team->Switch to another Branch/Tag/Revision.
Selenium for browser based playback
Selenium automates browsers. That's it. What you do with that power is entirely up to you. Primarily it is for automating web applications for testing purposes, but is certainly not limited to just that. Boring web-based administration tasks can (and should!) also be automated as well.
Selenium has the support of some of the largest browser vendors who have taken (or are taking) steps to make Selenium a native part of their browser. It is also the core technology in countless other browser automation tools, APIs and frameworks.

Maurice,
Can you try the ezair test again. On the second link I’m getting an error.
Linux firewalls are NOT your friend!!! When Harold rebooted the server on Friday iptables started and was blocking all traffic.

Subject: ezAir application URL does not work anymore
Importance: High
I can get to the admin console, but the link to the ezAir webapp no longer works:
Links that used to work on Friday:
http://haltstapp03/airadmin/login
https://ht.hq.halw.com/airadmin
I don’t know if this is related to the SSL problems we’ve been having, but any help would be much appreciated.
Other Stuff:
I had the Dave give permissions to the user in the database to hopefully fix the problem, no luck, we may need to delete some transaction files listed in the article instead:
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21196663
Excerpt:
To remove the transaction logs, do the following:
(1) Stop the server.
(2) Delete the 'transaction' folder and all subdirectories.
(3) Restart the server.
The above exceptions will no longer occur.

Maurice,
We'll still need a security request that defines which database name and which user name to run the privileges for.

This is considered a work stoppage and should be resolved today.
The WebSphere application is throwing an error, that hopefully updates to database permissions will correct. The user for the database defined in the application, is ezair.
Here’s are original article:
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21196663
Excerpt steps from article, it would probably be best to use the original article though.
The solution is to give the Oracle user permission to perform the recovery, specifically to access the internal Oracle tables used to manage recovery.
This problem can occur with all versions of Oracle: 8i, 9i, 10g, and 11g.
Run the following commands as user SYS:
