Macbook Change fn Key for F1-F12 Keys

If you prefer the top row of keys to always behave as standard function keys without holding the Fn key:

  • Choose System Preferences from the Apple menu.
  • Click Keyboard.
  • Click the Keyboard tab if it's not already highlighted.
  • Select "Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys"

Macbook Set visibility attribute to invisible

If you have Apple’s Developer Tools installed, go to Terminal and enter setfile -a V followed by the name of the file or folder. That sets its visibility attribute to invisible; you can undo this by repeating the command with a lower-case v.

How do you move the Doc on a Mac?

Hold down the SHIFT key and grab the Dock's handle bar, which separates the app icons from the folder icons and Trash, then drag the Dock to the Left, Right, or Bottom of the screen to relocate it to that position.

Installing Lync on Mac Book

Use these settings:

1. Go to Keychain
2. Click on System
3. Then go to HAL Enterprise root CA
4. And click Always Trust on “When using this Certificate”

Lync settings:

Either automatic as it is now,
or manual, depending on how they’re connected:

But make sure their internet proxy is set to the automatic config script:
http://wpad.flagship.hal.com/wpad.dat

Manual Settings:

Internal Server Name: hallyncpool
External Server Name: BLANK
